Carnival dances

This module of historical dances creates a small cut through various theme of dancing and theatrical scene of the medieval Europe. We will find there dances from the Old Testament, mysteries with earthly thematics, analogies of  farces – so called carnival dances; but also choreographies concerning the thematics of Czech folkish dances.

Carnival dances as an entertainment

The dances are made in a serene and smiling way and will always please the spectator who likes to laugh. We will perform several dances telling stories about people’s foolishness and costliness or classical fairy-tale stories such as Little Red Riding Hood. Carnival dances are perfectly suitable for events and occasions with historical thematics as they can enrich it very easily. An individual dance performance is more or less 5min long when 2-5 dancers are performing.

Other historical program

Carnival dances can be placed into every historical period. They go well with a fencing exhibition from Gothic, Renaissance , Baroque or Rococo period. Fencing performances are presented by professional fencers and stuntmen with numerous experiences.
