Dancing group Trn v oku (The Thorn in the eye) was founded in 2001. It was formed by four independent dancers and has been making performances of  professional dance program consisting of various styles ever since. Owing to numerous and rich dance experiences of its members, the group repertoire is very large-scaled. It contains historical dances from the Gothic Period, Renaissance Period, Rococo Period , either from noble feudal courts or towns and villages. Trn v oku is the only dancing group in the  Czech Republic that specializes in dances of Far East. Pieces from India, China, Japan and Polynesia (Hawaii, Tahiti, Bora Bora, Cook Islands) are to be found in its repertoire, the group, however, offers such dances as cancan, charleston or fireshow as well.
Some important clients of the group may be presented here as valuable references: The Office of the president of the Czech Republic, Secretariat of wife of the president of the Czech Republic, The ČLR Embassy in Prague, The Russian Federation Embassy in Prague, Czech and Chinese company and others.

Trn v oku does not simply mean just dances

Trn v oku does not provide only dancing programs. Thanks to professional specialization of the individual members of the group, Trn v oku can offer complex services in both program production and complete service realization of social and cultural events.
